Only the best equipment is good enough

For cars manufactured since 1998 any towbar fitted has to have ‘European Type Approval’. Any towbars fitted at North West Towbars do have this approval when required. We supply towing equipment from major manufacturers, including Witter, Westfalia, Thule Brink, Tow Trust and occasionally others. Our electrical equipment is sourced from the most reliable manufacturers that we can find. Our confidence in the equipment that we supply and fit is so high that we are happy to offer a guarantee that lasts as long as you own your vehicle.

In the very unlikely event of you having a problem with the installation, wherever you are in the U.K., as members of a network of N.T.T.A.  fitting centres we should be able to put you in touch with a local centre who can sort out a problem on our behalf.

Some modern cars have advanced electrical systems which can activate safety features such as a trailer stability programme when fitted with a vehicle specific wiring kit. We are able to supply and fit this type of kit to suit your requirements.

There are three main types of towbar, flange, detachable or swan neck.

Witter Towbars

Manufacture mainly the popular U.K. flange ball towbar and are probably the most recognised and sought after brand of  towbars in the U.K. Established over 50 years ago they lead the towbar market. When a new model of car is introduced Witter usually have a towbar available very quickly.

Thule Brink

Manufacture original equipment towbars for many car manufacturers and are well known for their wide range of ‘swan neck’ and detachable towbars.

 

 

Westfalia Automotive

Manufacture original equipment towbars mainly for German car manufactures. They are best known in the U.K. for their ‘invisible’ detachable towbars which are of an exceptionally high quality.
