A company that cares

North West Towbars was established in 1984 as a mobile business. After a number of  successful years trading, it was becoming apparent that to continue to offer a quality service, the business needed to operate from a dedicated workshop.

Fitting a towbar to any modern vehicles can involve removing and refitting the bumper, interior panels and contents of the car, sometimes carpets have to be lifted and doors left open. A sudden downpour can mean that fittings may have to be delayed or even postponed, or, if work continues, the car may get saturated. A workshop is an essential part of a caring business.

The business, run by business partners Nick Batchelor and Ian Mycock, is now well established in Stockport town centre. Quality and customer satisfaction are of great importance to all at North West Towbar Centre. To further reinforce the dedication to high standards, N.T.T.A  "Quality Secured" status has been achieved for the workshop and general procedures within the business. Our fitters have attended and passed the training courses run by the N.T.T.A. These standards are recognised by the "Caravan Club" and "The Caravan and Camping Club" and both clubs only recommend "Quality Secured" fitting centres to their members. We are one of only two towbar fitting centres in the Manchester and surrounding areas to have achieved this high standard.

Most of the new car dealerships in the Stockport area are happy to have fittings carried out by North West Towbar Centre. In fact dealerships from Manchester, Macclesfield, Hyde, Altrincham and other neighbouring towns regularly make the trip over to us for a towbar to be fitted.

In 2005 a separate partnership was formed with Kieren Batchelor, Nick's brother. The three partners acquired 'Towbars and Trailers in Chesterfield. This was the first ever N.T.T.A. Quality Secured towbar fitting centre and is run to the same high standards by Kieren.
